ELECTRO MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER OR Manufacturing Technician
Gloucester, MA
Schedule- Competitive pay ranging from $21.00 to $28.00 per hour, plus shift differentials ALL DEPENDS ON EXPERIENCE
- First shift for 5:00 am to 3:30pm or 5:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Thursday
- Second shift from 3:45 pm to 2:15 am Monday through Thursday 10% differential per hour
- Third shift from 7 pm to 6 am Sunday through Wednesday 13% differential per hour
$23.00 to $27.00 per hour all depends on experience.
Rate does not include shift hourly differentials
What You’ll Be DoingIn this role, you will support the production, testing, and repair of complex semiconductor equipment by:
- Building, repairing, and testing electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and vacuum assemblies and subassemblies
- Working from work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, parts lists, and verbal or written instructions
- Performing electro-mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and repair, while identifying and correcting errors
- Using test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and vacuum pumps to validate assemblies
- Entering production data, labor details, and work progress into computer systems
- Receiving and auditing parts to ensure build readiness; inspecting components for defects
- Troubleshooting issues and contributing to process improvements
- Documenting completed work clearly and accurately
Properly use PPE, tools, equipment, and materials
Proactively report hazards, incidents, or injuries
This position may involve working in a cleanroom environment, requiring PPE such as coveralls, hoods, booties, gloves, safety glasses, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields.
Physical & Environmental RequirementsThis is an active, hands-on role that may include:
- Standing for extended periods, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, climbing stairs or ladders, and working in tight spaces
- Lifting and handling components and tools
- Operating hand and power tools
- Working in environments with moderate to high noise levels
Driving or operating heavy machinery, including forklifts - Ability to distinguish between colors
Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or production environments
Strong ability to follow technical instructions and schematics
Hands‑on skills with electro‑mechanical assemblies and tools
Comfort working in structured, process‑driven environments
Interest in or experience within semiconductor or high‑tech manufacturing(highly valued)
