Electrical Assembler
PGS Worldwide is seeking an Electrical Assembler in Austin, TX for a 6-month onsite contract role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.
The Electrical Assembler will build, inspect, and modify electromechanical and electronic assemblies in a cleanroom production environment. This role requires soldering experience, the ability to interpret technical drawings and work instructions, and familiarity with automated optical inspection and surface-mount production equipment.
Required Skills- Two years of high school or trade school education.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Soldering experience.
- Automated Optical Inspection experience.
- Surface-Mount Technology experience, including pick-and-place equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, schematics, blueprints, process plans, and drawings.
- Ability to become solder certified.
- Ability to assemble and modify electrical or electromechanical components.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to production accuracy and quality.
- Computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
- Ability to work full-time onsite in a cleanroom environment.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new technologies and processes.
- Assemble parts for electromechanical and electronic equipment.
- Assemble, disassemble, and modify production subassemblies according to work plans.
- Perform soldering and related electrical assembly processes.
- Operate automated optical inspection, surface-mount, and production equipment.
- Inspect completed work for quality and conformance.
- Identify flaws or imperfections in parts and materials.
- Read and follow drawings, schematics, process plans, and work instructions.
- Record production and quality data accurately.
- Maintain a clean and compliant production work area.
Monday–Thursday, 4:30 PM–3:00 AM. 4x10, 2nd-shift schedule. Overtime expected. No travel required.
Pay$26.61 per hour, including shift differential.
