COMPENSATION: $22 - $25.50 HOURLY
This position provides analytical, operational, and coordination support to the Senior Global Commodity Management (GCM) Electronics team. The role serves as the data and process backbone for global commodity managers responsible for vision systems, compute and semiconductors, and supporting passive electronic components across multiple robotics programs. The analyst will maintain supplier performance visibility, consolidate and analyze procurement spend, and support supplier relationship management processes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide market intelligence to inform sourcing decisions.
- Translate raw data into actionable insights for senior procurement leaders.
- Support efforts to strategically advance supplier relationships and drive long-term cost and risk optimization.
- Interact cross-functionally with engineering, program management, procurement, buyers, and planning teams.
- Exercise sound judgment in prioritizing work, flagging risks, and maintaining data integrity.
- Support commodity management work across areas including Semiconductors, PCB, TIM, FET, IMU, Antennas, Cameras, Image Sensors, Optics, Lenses, LIDAR, Modules, Memory, Passive Components, Compute, and Machine Vision.
- Supply Chain & Procurement:
- Familiarity with supplier performance measurement frameworks, scorecard methodologies, and governance models.
- Knowledge of spend analysis techniques, including normalization, variance analysis, and total cost of ownership.
- Understanding of RFQ processes, bid analysis, and should-cost modeling fundamentals.
- Experience with supply chain risk identification, escalation pathways, and corrective action tracking.
- Electronics & Semiconductor Markets:
- General understanding of electronics component categories such as vision systems, compute/semiconductor, and passive/active components.
- Awareness of market dynamics affecting electronics procurement, including fab capacity, lead time volatility, and technology lifecycle considerations.
- Familiarity with supplier landscapes across cameras, sensors, processors, memory, and PCB fabrication.
- Systems & Tools:
- Experience with ERP and procurement platforms (e.g., Oracle EBS, Coupa, SWAN).
- Proficiency with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Excel dashboards, Power BI, Tableau).
- Knowledge of SharePoint and collaboration tools for documentation and process libraries.
- Familiarity with BOM management systems and component specification databases.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Understanding of how procurement interfaces with engineering, program management, and field operations in a manufacturing environment.
- Awareness of NPI processes and how commodity decisions impact program timelines.
- Ability to communicate procurement data and risk assessments to non-procurement stakeholders.
