At Lab Alley, we handle a variety of chemicals in a safe, controlled environment. Some chemicals require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators. Employees are fully trained on all procedures, and we prioritize safety above all else.
Important Note:
If you are hesitant about working with or around chemicals, even in a controlled and safe environment, this is not the role for you. Due to respirator fit requirements, individuals with beards who are unwilling to shave cannot be considered for this position.

Essential Responsibilities:- Pack, measure, weigh, and label items for shipment or storage.
- Follow all company guidelines and packaging instructions to ensure safety and product integrity.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained and cleaned.
- Identify and dispose of defective items before they are shipped to customers.
- Perform daily housekeeping tasks in the workstation and warehouse.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Required:
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Clean, prep, and inventory supplies for packaging.
- Willingness and ability to comply with all regulatory safety and environmental requirements.
- Ability to wear PPE, including respirators, without restriction.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check.
- Must be clean‑shaven for proper respirator fit.
- Prior warehouse experience.
- Prior chemical handling experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Frequently perform tasks requiring climbing, bending, crawling, kneeling, and crouching.
- Must wear required PPE, including safety glasses, masks/respirators, gloves, goggles, and safety toe work shoes.
- Must adhere to long periods of standing and walking.
- Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds safely.
- Must be able to use arms and hands for tasks such as reaching, signaling, grabbing, lifting, turning, pushing, and pulling.
Note:
Due to the use of respirators, beards or facial hair that interferes with the respirator seal are not permitted.
Lab Alley offers progressive pay. As the Chemical Technicians skills are mastered their pay increases.
Chemical Technician I:Entry-level in the field, which requires training on the handling and processes within the organization. No experience required. General warehouse experience is a plus. All new Chemical Technician hires will start at this level.
Chemical Technician II:Mid-level which understands and dominates the basic downpacking and diluting of alcohols and non‑corrosive materials, as well as granulate handling and downpacking. Proficient in basic math for dilutions Understands volume and weight measurements. Requirements:
English or they can translate proficiently. Ability to understand. Requires mastering level 1 and cross training into 2 and mastering that level.
Mid-level in which the individual understands and dominates most of the downpacking processes within the organization. Proficient in basic math for dilutions Understands volume and weight measurements. Skilled in handling, diluting, and measuring corrosive materials. Capable of mentoring other Chem Techs. Requires mastering level 2 and cross training into 3 and mastering that level.
