Summaryof Role
The VP of Marketing will be the most senior marketing role at Haven Energy and will be responsible for setting the company’s marketing and brand strategies, owning budgets and driving execution across all channels and programs. This role blends strategic leadership, performance marketing rigor, and partner-driven campaign execution
.
You will own how Haven goes to market—balancing awareness and direct-response marketing, building integrated multi-channel campaigns, and solving complex go‑to‑market challenges where total addressable audiences may be as large as an entire state or as small as a few thousand homes in a tightly defined geography.
This role is ideal for a marketing leader who thrives in constrained, high‑impact environments and enjoys working cross‑functionally with sales, product, operations, and external partners.
What you’ll do:Marketing Strategy & Leadership
- Define and own Haven Energy’s overall marketing and brand strategy, including brand guidelines, messaging, positioning, creative, channel mix and investment priorities.
- Develop an integrated marketing approach that balances brand awareness and demand generation, evolving beyond single-channel execution.
- Establish clear goals, KPIs, and measurement frameworks across all marketing initiatives and own consistent and pro‑active reporting against such frameworks
- Serve as the internal marketing leader and thought partner to the executive team.
- Own performance and strategy across existing core channels (Google, Meta, Direct Mail, Referral), while expanding into new channels, including affiliates, field marketing and OOH.
- Own external communications, PR strategy and execution.
- Optimize campaigns for efficiency, learnings, and scalability in low‑volume, high‑precision environments.
- Oversee creative strategy, messaging, and testing across channels.
- Lead marketing collaboration with utility partners, working closely with their marketing teams to:
- Build program branding and positioning
- Design and launch joint marketing campaigns
- Align messaging with utility goals and customer expectations
- Manage campaigns where utilities either:
- Share customer contact data, or
- Distribute marketing communications directly with Haven’s input
- Navigate partner constraints, approvals, and timelines while maintaining campaign effectiveness.
- Represent Haven as a trusted, capable marketing partner to external stakeholders.
- Partner closely with Sales, Product, Operations and Program teams to ensure marketing efforts align with sales goals and operational realities.
- Translate program requirements and constraints into effective marketing plans.
- Support sales enablement and field-level sales & marketing efforts as needed.
- Build, mentor, and lead the marketing function.
- Manage external agencies, vendors, and contractors as needed.
- Establish processes that enable fast execution without sacrificing quality or compliance.
