Job TitleGlobal Product Manager – Surgical (Upper Extremity Portfolio)
Reporting StructureReports to the Associate Director, Global Product Management.
LocationAustin, Texas (preferred) or remote within the U.S.
Business Unit OverviewEnovis Surgical provides orthopedic surgeons with modern, patient-focused solutions for total joint arthroplasty, offering a full range of primary and revision implants for hip, knee, shoulder, and elbow reconstructive joint surgeries, along with tools and digital health technology needed in today’s changing healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities- Product development – manage product development initiatives to launch products that meet customer needs and market demands.
- New product introductions – lead all aspects of new product launches, including launch packages, collateral, and plans in partnership with downstream marketing.
- Strategic planning – develop and maintain strategic plans for current and future product lines, including enabling technologies.
- Business planning – create business plans supporting implementation of projects and strategic initiatives.
- Product line management and strategy – conduct primary and secondary market research, develop market landscape and opportunity assessments.
- Competitive analysis – understand competitive environment, develop product positioning, competitive matrices, and messaging.
- Long‑term strategy – support development of product road maps and recommend new introductions or rationalisation.
- Market opportunity – research and assess market opportunities for new product ideas.
- Cross‑functional collaboration – work with sales operations, manufacturing, quality, engineering, medical education, legal, regulatory affairs, marketing communications, downstream marketing and commercial education departments.
- Key Opinion Leader (KOL) relationships – develop and maintain relationships with surgeon KOLs.
- Technical expertise – stay current with industry publications and engage with key customers through surgery observation and attendance at medical/scientific meetings.
- Special projects – research trends, develop reports, and participate in additional projects as needed.
- Minimum five years of product marketing experience, including upstream marketing.
- Experience in the medical device industry, preferably orthopaedics.
- Sales, downstream marketing or marketing communication experience is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, Marketing or related field.
- MBA or equivalent is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong analytical, entrepreneurial mindset and cross‑functional collaboration ability.
- Process and continuous improvement skills.
- Project management and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in operating rooms, cadaver labs, mechanical testing labs or office settings.
- Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and handle abstract and concrete variables.
Must be able to travel up to 40% of the time, including domestically and internationally, with overnight and out‑of‑town stays.
