** Purpose
* * Leads and implements marketing and brand initiatives for University Housing and Dining (UHD) through the development, oversight, and execution of high-impact marketing campaigns and projects. The Marketing Specialist serves as a primary marketing lead for complex, high-visibility initiatives, working closely with multiple UHD area leadership teams and key stakeholders to align marketing strategies with operational priorities and long-term goals. This role bridges strategic vision and day-to-day execution, ensuring efforts are integrated, effective, and reflective of UHD’s evolving needs.
** Responsibilities
* ** Leads assigned marketing projects from concept to completion under the guidance of Marketing and Communications leadership. Serves as the primary marketing lead for complex initiatives, collaborating directly with UHD partner leadership and operational teams to define project direction, scope, and priorities. Facilitates communication between leadership and execution teams, translating strategic goals into clear, executable plans. Maintains accountability for project performance, timelines, and outcomes across multiple stakeholders.
* Develops and leads integrated marketing campaign strategies that support UHD programs, services, and major initiatives. Partners with UHD leadership and operational teams to identify priorities, define campaign goals, and align messaging with both strategic direction and on-the-ground needs. Ensures campaigns are not only well-executed but also operationally feasible and aligned with goals and expectations. Provides creative input and ensures campaign messaging aligns with UHD’s mission and strategic objectives.
* Leads the development of high-level marketing content across digital, print, and environmental platforms, ensuring messaging is strategic, audience-focused, and aligned with UHD’s brand voice. Provides creative direction and feedback to ensure consistency and quality across all materials. Serves as a key steward of the UHD brand, helping to evolve and maintain brand standards across multiple sub-identities and initiatives. Identifies opportunities to strengthen storytelling, elevate visual presentation, and enhance the overall brand experience.
* Works collaboratively with the Marketing and Communications team to maintain alignment across UHD’s marketing efforts. Contributes to team meetings, planning sessions, and brainstorming discussions that support department-wide goals. Provides mentorship or guidance to student staff as assigned, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and professional growth.
* Performs additional responsibilities as assigned in support of UHD’s strategic goals. May include participation in departmental events, assisting with programming and activities, and supporting other UHD initiatives as needed. Some evening or weekend work may be required during peak campaign periods or major events.

*** Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field.
* At least 1 year of experience promoting products or services.
