Director, Threat Research Insights
TrendAI™, the global AI security leader and enterprise business unit of Trend Micro, empowers organizations with full AI visibility and consolidated security that inspires confidence, drives innovation, and eliminates risk. At TrendAI™, we're always seeking exceptional talent; people who want to collaborate with the best and push boundaries together. Here, your work goes beyond building a career. You will help protect what matters and play a vital role in shaping a safer, more trustworthy AI-powered future.
AI Fearlessly.
We're looking for a Director, Threat Research Insights to lead the team that brings TrendAI™ threat research to the world. Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Marketing, you'll lead an established, multi-disciplinary team responsible for the publication, amplification, and internal awareness of technical research generated across the company.
This is a role built on four things: people leadership of a growing team, editorial and publishing strategy for how research reaches and resonates with different audiences, a technical acumen in the field of threat research and cybersecurity that lets you engage credibly with researchers and translate their work, and a bridging instinct that connects deeply technical research teams with the broader business.
You'll set the editorial, publishing, and operational strategy for how TrendAI's research shows up through external and internal channels, as well as in product. Success means the right research reaches the right people at the right time, our research voice is amplified and respected in the security community, and the rest of TrendAI™ understands and leverages what our researchers produce.
If you understand the information security industry, know how to translate technical depth into compelling communications, and can lead a growing, multi-disciplinary team, we'd like to talk to you.
Responsibilities
- Own the long-term editorial strategy and content roadmap, including mapping out the core thematic pillars that support the company's broader business goals.
- Own the publishing strategy for amplifying technical threat research across the company's channels.
- Establish and enforce the TrendAI voice and tone, including an editorial style guide to ensure consistent brand identity across platforms (digital, audio, video, and print).
- Collaborate with full-time threat researchers across the company to identify, prioritize, and surface the research that matters most to each audience.
- Lead, grow, and develop a multi-disciplinary team spanning publication, social, events, and internal awareness functions.
- Manage the research blog and research social media presence, setting editorial direction, quality standards, and publication cadence.
- Collaborate with TrendAI evangelists and help shape how TrendAI™ research shows up at industry events and in front of the security community.
- Run the internal awareness function that bridges threat research with the rest of the company, ensuring colleagues understand and can act on our research.
- Collaborate closely with Product Marketing, research leadership, and communications partners to align messaging, timing, and priorities.
- Support performance and ROI optimization, including collaborating with cross-functional teams in SEO/GEO, social media, growth marketing, and PR; tracking metrics, and conducting content audits and reviews.
- Providing executive reporting that translates editorial successes to business outcomes for the C-suite.

- 10+ years of relevant experience across security, communications, marketing, or related fields.
