Who You AreYou love bringing people together and building communities. You know how they work, what makes them grow, and how to build something people actually want to be part of. You have strong opinions about what a good community looks like and what is just noise.
You are creative and strategic. You think ahead, but you do the work yourself. You are the kind of person who would rather run ten scrappy experiments this week than spend a month planning the perfect campaign.
You have spent real time in online communities - trading, gaming, investing, or otherwise, and you understand the culture from the inside. You know the difference between a community that has genuine energy and one that is manufactured. That instinct is what we are looking for.
Why This Role ExistsOur earliest users are already out there. They are in subreddits, Discord servers, group chats, and forums - talking about markets, trading strategies, and the tools they use. This role exists to find them, earn their trust, and build something they want to bring their friends into.
This is a ground-floor role. We are heading into beta, and your first job is to bring in our earliest testers - both our ideal users online and people here in Austin - and turn them into the foundation of a real community. As we move toward launch, you will figure out which channels actually work and scale the ones that do.
The role grows with the company: recruit and seed in beta, grow and prove channels pre-launch, scale after.
Recruit our earliest beta testers - both our ideal users online and people in and around Austin
Identify and embed yourself in the communities where our early users already spend their time
Build and grow Vantheon's own community presence from scratch (Discord, Reddit, and wherever else they gather)
Run experiments across channels and formats - including events and small paid tests - figure out what resonates and double down fast
Lean on word of mouth and scrappy, organic growth before we lean on a paid acquisition budget
Engage Vantheon's voice across social and community channels
Create content that feels native to the communities we are trying to reach, not like a brand talking at them
Identify and engage with the creators who matter in our space
Show up at the Austin events where our people already are, and bring users back with you
Run Vantheon's in-person events from scratch - think LAN-party-style nights with food, demos of our universe content, and live beta testing
Use in-person energy to seed the online community, and vice versa
Think ahead about where our community should be in six months and what it takes to get there
Translate community insight into product and growth feedback
Track what is working and what is not, and double down fast
Someone who has built or grown communities - online, in gaming, in fintech, or anywhere people gather around a shared interest
Creative and strategic: you can think ahead and then go do the thing yourself
Deep familiarity with how online communities actually work - the culture and the dynamics
Someone with opinions. About our space, about what good community looks like, about what we should be doing
Strong communicator who can write in a way that feels human and native to wherever they are posting
You have spent time in trading, investing, or gaming communities and understand the culture from the inside
You personally invest and have strong opinions about the experience
You have grown a social presence or community account from scratch
You are based in or around Austin and have run in-person events or meetups
