Texas Robotics Communications Student Associate

This position will carry out various communications tasks and support for Texas Robotics. Responsibilities include leading weekly tours of Anna Hiss Gym, event photography, printing and maintaining marketing materials, managing digital event signage, creating marketing materials through Canva and/or InDesign, posting on social media, and assisting with general events and Texas Robotics needs.

Your duties are likely to evolve as you gain experience within the building and the program. This is a long-term opportunity that will lead into future semesters (depending on performance). Please note that your weekly hours might vary over the semester depending on workload and event schedules.

• Must be a current student at The University of Texas at Austin.
• Must be available to work in office
• The position is well-suited for a person who is productive, creative, resourceful, and customer service-oriented. We'd like you to be someone who enjoys learning, designing, communicating, and is hard-working.
• This role may involve lifting objects up to 25 pounds
• Workers must be punctual.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

• Experience with Excel, photography, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Box, Canva, social media, and Google Docs.
• Interest in robotics, marketing, and event planning is preferred.

$14.00/hour

• Typical office environment.

• 9-12 hours per week, with the potential for increased hours during busy times.
