Marketing / Advertising / PR
PR / Communications, Content Writer / Copywriter
This position is not about refining social posts, tracking impressions, or overseeing a content schedule. It is about helping families believe. Texas Sports Academy is constructing a $25k+/year AI-driven sports-education platform for students who demand both rigorous academics and meaningful athletic development. The narrative is still taking shape. That is the opportunity.
This role requires someone who can command a stage, appear on camera, address parents, athletes, coaches, media, and civic leaders, and communicate a single compelling idea: this is a new kind of school. You will transform student outcomes, athlete journeys, and leadership insight into a narrative that everyone within the organization can articulate with precision and conviction. You will then create the infrastructure that validates it through profiles, video content, editorial work, data-driven stories, earned press, and public engagement.
The scope is significant. Initially, you will create from the ground up: messaging, proof points, voice, content, media relations, and credibility. As the brand matures, you will guide the creative team and define the standard for how TSA presents itself publicly.
What You Will Be Doing- Develop the central narrative and tailored messaging for families, athletes, coaches, media, and policymakers
- Create evidence-based student and athlete profiles, outcome-driven data stories, video, and editorial material
- Pursue earned media opportunities, cultivate thought leadership, and oversee communications during critical moments
- Serve as TSA's representative on camera, on stage, at public events, in podcasts, and with journalists
- Establish the creative standard and ensure the team communicates with a unified, authoritative voice
- Executing paid digital advertising, media buying, cold outreach, or performance marketing initiatives
- Overseeing backend enrollment systems, CRM management, or admissions processes
- Pursuing vanity metrics like content output, impression counts, or diluted engagement figures
- Operating behind presentations, committees, or internal approval cycles rather than serving as the public representative
- Leading curriculum development, academic strategy, fundraising, or investor relations as a primary responsibility
Key Responsibilities
Generate a sustained pipeline of families who comprehend and trust TSA's premium AI-powered sports-education model before they enter the enrollment funnel.
Basic Requirements- 7+ years of experience in persuasive public-facing roles
- Experience owning the narrative and public voice of a startup, mission-driven organization, media platform, or comparable public-facing brand
- Demonstrated on-camera and on-stage presence as a speaker, host, founder, journalist, creator, or public representative
- Capability to construct brand narrative architecture and audience messaging from the ground up
- Proficiency in audience code-switching across families, athletes, coaches, media, and public stakeholders
- Practical ability to leverage AI-enabled content production tools to create or guide high-quality content
- Passion for sports and student athletics
- Austin-based or willing to relocate to Austin, TX for on-site work
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Background in editorial, journalism, broadcast media, communications, strategic sales, or creator-led brand building
- Experience converting outcome data into compelling stories for premium families or high-consideration buyers
- Proven ability to secure media coverage without dependence on paid demand generation
- Experience challenging senior leaders while safeguarding message quality and brand trust

Their innovative K-8 model, based in Austin, TX, uses AI-driven learning to accelerate academics, allowing students to master core subjects in just two hours a day.
The rest of their day is dedicated to athletic training, skill-building, and personal development - so students excel in both their studies and their sport.
By integrating advanced educational technology with structured sports training, they provide a unique learning experience that builds discipline, leadership, and resilience.
It’s academics and athletics in perfect sync. There is so much to cover for this exciting role, and space here is limited.
