Semester Health is a therapy practice built for college students, with in-person care walkable from the UT campus (inside Dobie) and virtual care across Texas. We take major insurance (Aetna, Cigna, BCBS) and get students seen fast. We're launching hard this fall, and we need someone on the ground making sure every student on campus knows we exist.
The Role About Semester HealthSemester Health is a therapy practice built for college students, with in-person care walkable from the UT campus (inside Dobie) and virtual care across Texas. We take major insurance (Aetna, Cigna, BCBS) and get students seen fast. We're launching hard this fall, and we need someone on the ground making sure every student on campus knows we exist.
The RoleThis is a boots-on-the-ground role. You are the face of Semester Health on campus during the most important weeks of our launch. You'll be walking, talking, tabling, and putting our materials in front of students and the people who refer them.
What You'll Do- Flyer distribution: Post and hand out flyers across campus, West Campus, off-campus apartments, coffee shops, and other high-traffic student spots
- Tabling: Set up, run, and break down our booth during the first weeks of the semester and at select campus events (these time slots are fixed; the rest of your hours are flexible)
- Department outreach: Deliver materials to UT departments, advisors, and student-facing offices, and log who you spoke with
- Local drop-offs: Walk materials to clinics and businesses around campus, and help maintain relationships with partner locations hosting our flyers and rack cards
- Event support: Assist at org fairs, workshops, and campus events we attend this fall
- Reporting: Track where materials are placed (photos required), log outreach contacts, and share what's working on the ground each week
- Current UT Austin student who knows the campus inside and out
- Comfortable approaching strangers and starting conversations
- Reliable and self-directed; you'll be trusted to execute a weekly plan without someone standing over you
- Available for scheduled tabling shifts during the first 2–3 weeks of the semester and select events (dates shared in advance)
- Bonus: involved in student orgs, Greek life, or campus communities
- Care about mental health access for students
- Duration: 3 months (late August through late November), potentially longer
- Hours: ~10–12 hours/week; flexible scheduling outside of fixed tabling and event times
- Compensation: $500/month stipend, paid monthly (independent contractor)
- Location: On campus and surrounding areas; you'll check in regularly with our marketing lead
- Training: We provide all materials, talking points, and a weekly placement plan; no prior marketing experience needed
- Real startup experience with a fast-moving healthcare company launching on your campus
- Direct mentorship from the founding team
- A concrete, measurable marketing project for your resume
- Flexibility that works around your class schedule
