Copywriter – Senior (B2B Marketing)

A major financial services company is looking for a Senior Copywriter to join the creative team. This is primarily a writing and concepting role, not an editing or project-management position. You will work across websites, emails, postcards, and other B2B marketing content, particularly around complex financial topics. The role supports Workplace Services Financial business areas, including 401(k), stock plans, equity awards, as well as Advisor Services.

The team values writers who can take complex or potentially dry financial/business information and turn it into clear, human, compelling content. The expectation is to find the smart idea, headline, angle, or messaging that makes the audience want to keep reading. The writer will be expected to understand the audience, identify the human insight, and create copy that motivates action.

Note:

Portfolio is a critical screening requirement – must include B2B copywriting, website work (1–2 complete examples), email examples, postcard/direct-mail examples, compelling headlines, strategic thinking, and ability to simplify complex topics. If there is no portfolio link on the resume, the resume may be rejected.

• Strong B2B copywriting experience – ideally 5+ years, but flexible for strong candidates with 3–4 years
• Website and email writing experience
• Portfolio demonstrating B2B copywriting, website work, email examples, postcard/direct-mail, compelling headlines, strategic thinking, and ability to simplify complex subject matter
• Ability to take complex or dry financial/business information and turn it into clear, human, compelling content
• Ability to work independently and manage own workload without extensive hand-holding
• Comfortable working directly with clients/marketing partners and navigating feedback
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to push back professionally when workload or priorities become unrealistic
• Strong presentation skills and ability to explain/defend creative thinking
• Financial-services experience is not required – candidates from other B2B, technical, complex, or regulated industries are welcome

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field (preferred)
• 5+ years of professional B2B copywriting experience (flexible for candidates with 3–4 years and strong portfolios)
• Or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training

• Agency experience preferred
• AI literacy / AIO knowledge – significant plus
• SEO/AEO/AIO understanding
• Website/CMS experience
• Digital content platforms experience

• The team is highly collaborative with many people touching and reworking the work closely – strong interpersonal/team skills are extremely important
• Successful team members often come from traditional advertising backgrounds but moved away from highly stressful/volatile agency environments
