Job Description
Performs highly advanced (senior level) informational and communications work for the System Support Services (SSS) Division Coordination Office. Work involved leading the development, coordination, and governance of executive communications, strategic messaging, and enterprise content management to support division leadership and cross-functional initiatives.
Develops and implements communication strategies, standards, and tools to ensure consistent, accurate, and decision-focused information is delivered to executive leadership and stakeholders. Serves as a central coordination point for synthesizing complex operational, policy, and program information into clear, actionable materials.
Works under minimal supervision with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Essential Job Functions (EJFs)- Executive Communications. Develops executive-level briefing materials, including memos, one-pagers, summaries, presentations, and proposals for SSS leadership;
Synthesizes complex, cross-functional information into concise, decision-ready formats;
Prepares talking points, strategic summaries, and responses for leadership engagements;
Reviews and edits high-visibility materials to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with division priorities (30%) - Strategic Messaging and Coordination. Leads development and implementation of division-wide messaging frameworks and communication strategies;
Ensures consistency of messaging across SSS programs, initiatives, and leadership communications;
Advises leadership and program areas on message framing, communication risks, and positioning;
Coordinates inputs across multiple stakeholders to produce unified communications (20%) - Content Governance and Knowledge Management. Oversees development, organization, and maintenance of division SharePoint sites and content repositories;
Establishes standards for content structure, version control, accessibility, and usability;
Develops and implements content governance processes, including review, approval, and lifecycle management;
Ensures availability of accurate, current information to support operations and leadership decision-making (20%) - Enterprise Content Development. Develops division-wide communications, reports, and informational materials;
Translates technical, financial, and policy-related information into accessible formats for diverse audiences;
Produces standardized templates and tools for recurring communication needs (15%) - Cross-functional Coordination. Serves as liaison between division leadership, program areas, and internal stakeholders;
Integrates information across initiatives to ensure alignment and completeness;
Supports coordination of division priorities through structured communication products (10%) - Continuous Improvement and Tools Development. Evaluates and improves communication tools, templates, and processes;
Recommends enhancements to improve efficiency, clarity, and usability of content and systems;
Supports development of standardized communication practices across the division (5%)
