The CompanyDuende Software is defining the identity infrastructure category. Trusted by more than 2,500 organizations worldwide, Duende and our flagship product, Identity Server, help the world’s most discerning organizations secure the identities of their users. After a decade of open source innovation, Duende Identity Server was launched in 2020 to provide the world’s most customizable, extensible identity infrastructure for securing human and machine access and identity across modern .NET
ecosystems and beyond.
With accelerating demand, strong financial performance, and a product roadmap expanding into federation, non-human identity, and modern developer tooling, Duende is now building the content distribution infrastructure to match its engineering ambition. An outstanding Developer Product Marketing Manager is central to that mission.
The RoleWe’re looking for a Developer Product Marketing Manager to help developers and architects understand what Duende does, why it matters, and where our products fit.
You’ll work across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to turn technical product capabilities into clear positioning, messaging, content, and enablement.
This is a technical PMM role. You should be comfortable discussing identity standards and software architecture with developers, while also being able to translate that technical depth into clear customer and commercial value.
What You Will Build- Positioning and messaging for Duende products and capabilities.
- Technical content such as solution briefs, architecture diagrams, integration guides, reference patterns, and demo narratives.
- Product launch and sales enablement materials, including decks and battle cards.
- Clear explanations of why identity standards and capabilities matter to developers and architects.
- Better developer evaluation experiences across our website, docs, Git Hub, community, and proof-of-concept journey.
- Structured feedback loops between customers, the developer community, Product, and Engineering.
You’re comfortable working between technical and commercial teams.
You can understand a technical capability deeply enough to explain both how it works and why someone should care.
You enjoy working with developers and architects, care about technical accuracy, and know that credibility matters when marketing to technical audiences.
You’re also commercially minded. You want to understand what customers need, how they evaluate products, and what helps them choose Duende.
Requirements- Strong working knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML.
- Familiarity with advanced identity standards such as FAPI, DPoP, PAR, CIBA, and token exchange.
- Ability to discuss how identity infrastructure fits into a customer's application architecture.
- Experience creating technical content for developers or architects.
- Strong positioning, messaging, writing, and communication skills.
- Understanding of how developers evaluate infrastructure products, including docs, community, Git Hub, and proof-of-concept experience.
- Strong commercial judgment and customer orientation.
- Ability to work effectively across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success.
Very nice to have:
- Hands-on .NET/C# experience.
- Experience with developer SDKs.
- Familiarity with the .NET ecosystem.
- Experience in identity, security, APIs, or developer infrastructure.
Technical honesty and empathy:
You care about getting the details right and communicating with developers in a way that respects their expertise.
Ownership and delivery:
You take responsibility for getting useful, high-quality work…
