We are looking for a highly driven, tech-savvy Principal Field & Events Marketing Manager to join and support our Demand Generation team. In this role, you will own and evolve North America field marketing programs while producing high-touch, in-person WP Engine experiences designed to build brand awareness, engage priority audiences, generate demand, and accelerate pipeline.
As a senior individual contributor and field marketing leader, you will act as a strategic focal point across WP Engine, bringing an informed point of view on regional events, sponsor ships, and campaigns that effectively promote our brand and accelerate top-line revenue growth. You will balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, owning programs from planning and production through post-event lead nurture, performance analysis, and ROI reporting.
The Day to DayField Marketing Strategy & Program Execution: Develop and execute high-impact field marketing programs across North America, including regional event sponsor ships, customer roadshows, industry conferences, field activations and executive dinners. Partner with internal stakeholders to align the right event opportunities with priority audiences, business objectives, and pipeline goals.
End-to-End Event Production: Own end-to-end production, project management, promotion, and onsite execution for North America in-person field events, including trade shows, conferences, sponsor ships, customer events, and regional activations. Manage event briefs, timelines, vendors, contracts, procurement, logistics, RSVPs, and materials, while tracking results and reporting on post-event performance.
Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner deeply with Sales, SDR, Marketing Operations, Product Marketing, Creative Services, and other cross-functional teams to align field programs with target audiences, messaging, lead follow-up, and pipeline goals. Build strong relationships across the organization and communicate proactively with stakeholders throughout the event lifecycle.
Budget & Financial Management: Manage line-item budgets for assigned North America events, including forecasting, vendor spend, expense tracking, and post-event reconciliation. Maintain clear visibility into budget performance and communicate spend, risks, and changes to key stakeholders.
Lead Nurture & Sales Follow-Through: Partner with Marketing Operations, SDRs, and Sales to ensure event leads are captured, enriched, routed, nurtured, and actively worked after each event. Monitor and regularly report out on lead progression through the funnel and proactively identify opportunities to improve conversion from event engagement to MQL, opportunity, and pipeline.
Performance Analysis & Reporting: Establish and track event KPIs, analyze campaign and event performance, and deliver regular performance readouts to stakeholders and leadership. Evaluate event effectiveness through metrics such as lead generation, MQL progression, pipeline contribution, conversion, and ROI, and use those insights to inform future field marketing decisions.
Program Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay current on evolving field and event marketing trends, technologies, and emerging AI capabilities. Bring curiosity and new ideas to the program, identify opportunities to improve the customer and prospect experience, and continuously evolve how WP Engine approaches field marketing.
Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience in B2B SaaS field marketing, event marketing, demand generation, or a related discipline, with demonstrated ownership of complex North America field programs.
Strategic Vision & Autonomy: Demonstrated success independently managing complex, multi-touch field and event programs from planning and execution through post-event analysis. Ability to understand target audiences, evaluate event opportunities, and connect field programs to broader marketing and revenue goals.
