The Communications Strategist helps drive how NDC shows up across our communications and partnerships, This role supports two distinct brands: NDC and Deafverse, and works closely with the Communications Director and Social Media Coordinator to plan, produce, and distribute content that reaches deaf students, educators, VR counselors, and partner organizations.

• Leads strategic planning and develops campaign briefs across NDC and Deafverse communications

• Manages newsletter and newsfeed production from planning through distribution

• Coordinates web updates and maintains the working relationship with NDC's web contractor

• Supports partnership coordination and outreach on behalf of the Communications Director

• Maintains the editorial calendar and keeps communications sequenced and aligned

• Tracks and reports analytics across communications efforts

• Supports video and multimedia content distribution across NDC's communications

Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience. 3-5 years in communications, marketing, or outreach.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Experience in a nonprofit, higher education, or mission-driven organization. Comfortable managing multiple communications channels simultaneously and working independently in a small remote team.

$70,000 annualized ($35,000 prorated)

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
