Community Engagement Coordinator - Grove Campus
SAFE Alliance seeks a Community Engagement Coordinator for the Community Engagement Services program in the Community Engagement department. This role facilitates program delivery, strengthens community partnerships, and ensures compliance with funding requirements. They will work closely with staff, clients, and external stakeholders to enhance service accessibility and effectiveness. This position requires strong leadership, crisis response skills, and knowledge of best practices in survivor support services, including domestic violence intervention, child advocacy, sexual assault response, and human trafficking recovery.
Salary: $50,000 to $52,000 annually, with an additional $3,600 language differential for English/Spanish bilingual candidates.
Location:
Grove Blvd. Campus in the East Austin area. Some travel, remote/hybrid work, and occasional evening/weekend work may be required.

- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Health, Human Services, Non-Profit Management, or a related field.
- Professional-level experience in crisis intervention, case management, or program coordination within domestic violence, sexual assault, or child advocacy services; equivalent experience may substitute for a degree.
- Associate degree with equivalent experience considered.
- Bilingual fluency in English/Spanish preferred.
- Minimum two years of experience in crisis intervention, case management, or program coordination within relevant services.
- Minimum one year of experience delivering or coordinating community education programs, trainings, and outreach activities, preferably focused on sexual assault, child abuse, domestic and dating violence, and human trafficking.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with community organizations, stakeholders, and service providers.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, time-management, public speaking, and presentation skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication.
- Physical requirements:
ability to perform repetitive wrist, hand movements; lift up to 20 pounds; sit or stand for extended periods; adequate vision; work in typical office environment; occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions. - Valid Texas driver’s license and driving record (3 years experience or 1 year if older than 27).
- Completion of 40‑hour Office of Attorney General Sexual Assault Advocacy Training Program within 6 months and ongoing continuing education.
- Pass all required criminal history background checks, drug screen and TB test if applicable.
