Founded in 1974, Samaritan Center is a 501(c)(3) tax‑exempt organization serving Central Texas. Samaritan Center’s philosophy is based on a holistic belief that there is a close relationship between the mind, body, spirit and community. This philosophy is the foundation of our multidisciplinary team approach to mental health. We provide professional counseling, integrative medicine, peer support, and wellness education that are accessible and affordable for all.
Our Hope for Heroes program serves veterans and military families facing service‑related trauma and stress. Services are free for veterans and members of military families, and very low‑cost for low‑income families. Most insurance is also accepted.
We are looking for volunteers to help refresh and maintain the flower beds at our nonprofit center. This is a great opportunity for individuals or small groups who enjoy gardening or landscaping and want to give back to the community.

- Plant flowers.
- General cleanup to make our outdoor space welcoming for the clients and families we serve.
All tools and materials can be provided if possible. Volunteers are welcome to bring their own gardening gloves or tools if they prefer.
Your help will make a big difference in creating a peaceful and welcoming environment for everyone who visits our center.
