The Baylor Collaborative’s Hunger Free Community Accelerator supports the development of strong, sustainable, and action‑oriented coalitions with the goal of implementing innovative and collaborative solutions while engaging in effective anti‑hunger work. Baylor Collaborative’s Hunger Free Community Accelerator has built local coalitions working to end hunger in communities across Texas. These coalitions are made up of leaders and organizations who understand the value and impact collaborative action can have in their communities, and who are taking steps to address food insecurity.
Uniting behind a common vision and strategy for collective action, they understand what the coalition can do together far exceeds what any of them can do alone.
- Increase the accessibility of online hunger‑relief tools and resources.
- Support operational systems that improve coalition engagement and assist in developing long‑term solutions to sustain community hunger‑free coalitions.
- Strengthen the operations and communication systems of the Hunger Free Texas Coalition Network (HFTCN) by consistently monitoring, updating, and supporting media, membership processes, and resource‑sharing platforms to enhance coalition capacity and expand access to hunger‑related tools and information.
- Create and develop an online resource hub, “The Library”, for hunger‑free coalitions, which will include toolkits and best‑practice resources, to be published on the Collaborative website.
- Work with the HFCA team to identify long‑term solutions for hunger‑free coalition sustainability.
