Responsibilities
  • Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, create and implement short- and long-term strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward individual mid-level donors; oversee mid-level donor activities and communications to maximize resources; develop strategies to increase donor support; analyze fundraising activities and develop cultivation/solicitation strategies; elevate midlevel donors when possible to major donor status; ensure donor data management systems are used to maximize cultivation.
  • Manage the Tier 1 (Community Supporters) donor portfolio ($1–$249), drive retention and new donor acquisition in coordination with the Communications team.
  • Conduct prospect research to identify and qualify new giving prospects, building donor profiles to inform cultivation strategies across the pipeline.
  • Lead donor services operations, including gift acknowledgments, cultivation strategy, moves management, and donor relations with timely, personalized touchpoints.
  • Ensure donor data integrity in the CRM and deliver data analytics and reporting to strengthen stewardship, segmentation, and fundraising decisions across the Development team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Cultivation, Solicitation, and Stewardship of Donors (100%)
  • Implement stewardship and touchpoint strategies for a caseload of Tier-1 donors.
  • Manage and implement donor recognition benefits and provide unique engagement and cultivation opportunities for Tier-1 donors.
  • Execute strategically by building audiences through donor database data to assess prospects, create prospect lists, and coordinate prospect review; work with the supervisor to implement strategies that support ongoing Tier-1 donor work.
  • Ensure donor cultivation opportunities are maximized and that record-keeping is integrated into the donor database system; provide advice and technical assistance as needed.
  • Enter donor data for assigned portfolio, including donor contact, gift, communication, and Moves Management planning information into the donor database; ensure data entry follows approved policies and procedures.
  • Implement communications plan for Tier-1 donors to steward them toward continued and increased giving.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Ability to meet attendance requirements.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English effectively; ability to work under deadlines and time constraints.
  • Ability and willingness to conduct all duties in accordance with the ministry and its Christian principles; professional conduct in all communications and duties.
  • Typically seated; may require brief periods of standing or walking.
  • Light physical effort (less than 25 lbs) as needed for walking, standing, and carrying.
  • Occasional travel; office environment with typical conditions.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, marketing, communication, liberal arts, or related field.
  • Three years of progressively responsible experience in donor development, donor support or related, with donor management and donor database experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Certifications:

  • Valid State Driver’s License
  • Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) preferred
