Do you want to make a difference in your community? Are you passionate about equal access to healthy foods? Is healthy living important to you?

Foundation Communities is a local nonprofit dedicated to providing quality affordable housing and support services to families and individuals. We operate Healthy Food Pantries at 14 sites across Austin, and we have some that are higher need than others.

The Healthy Food Pantry volunteer will assist with set-up, distributing food to clients, and clean-up. We aim to provide access to fresh, healthy food to our residents at all Foundation Communities properties, educate residents on healthy food choices, recipes and nutrition, and increase consumption of healthy foods.

Healthy Food Pantry volunteers commit to serving one 2-3 hour shift every other week at the community of your choosing. Hours vary by community, but take place on weekdays, mostly during daytime hours.

Volunteers must complete an online application, pass a background check (no cost to the volunteer), and complete a self-paced online orientation. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
