About Learning Hubs
Learning Hubs are project-based, community initiatives led by students and supported by the PIVOT Center and YIP generally. Each hub is built around a clearly defined issue within the specific community. The goal is not to create a general club, but to develop a focused project that actively addresses a critical community issue over time.
Each Hub Leader, and their team, is responsible for identifying a problem, building a small team, and creating impact. This can include organizing initiatives, engaging with stakeholders, developing advocacy efforts, and building partnerships within the community to address challenges.
Hubs are expected to move beyond discussion and into consistent action quickly, with clear progress, outputs, and documentation. The PIVOT Center supports this work through 1-1 mentorship, resources (guides and workshops), accountability systems, and guidance on project development.
Enrolled in High School, College/University, or other post-secondary education.
