Development Student Associate, College Of Natural Sciences
The College of Natural Sciences (CNS) Development team is looking for a motivated student to support donor stewardship, database management, event logistics, and general administrative projects within the CNS Development Office.
The position is available for students who can work throughout the academic year (August - May), with the opportunity for continued employment through the summer. The start date is flexible, and the position is open for immediate hire.
PurposeThe Development Student Associate will provide support for the CNS Development Office. The CNS development team is dedicated to raising funds from individuals, corporations, and foundations in order to create scholarships and fellowships for undergraduate and graduate students, fund important research, and elevate the educational experience for students in Texas Science. Students in this role also have the opportunity to support donor events held in the evenings and on weekends, offering valuable exposure to networking with alumni and donors.
Responsibilities- Donor stewardship and engagement support (acknowledgments, student letters, impact reports, donor outreach projects)
- Donor database maintenance, data entry, record management, tracking and reporting support
- Preparation of digital and printed stewardship materials and correspondence
- Event support, including pre-event, on-site and post-event logistical assistance
- Administrative and project support duties
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Current UT Austin student in good academic standing.
- Interest in philanthropy, donor relations or higher education.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Reliable, professional and detail-oriented.
- Experience working in development/fundraising
$14.00 per hour
Working Conditions- May work around standard office conditions.
- Repetitive use of computer equipment.
- Available to work three to five hour shifts.
- Shift times will be determined based on candidate availability - maximum 20 scheduled weekly hours.
