Events and Ministry Coordinator – Part-Time

Apartment Life is seeking a part-time, paid Events and Ministry Coordinator (internally called Coordinator of Resident Services) to serve one apartment community in Austin, TX, on IH-35 South near Bluff Springs Estates
.

Important Details:
  • 8 hours/week at $21/hour
  • Primarily afternoons, evenings, and weekends
  • Plan and host 2–3 events/workshops monthly focused on engagement, wellness, health, enrichment, and stability
  • Connect residents with rental, food, and other local resources
  • Partner with local businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations
  • Communicate with onsite staff and the Apartment Life supervisor
  • Submit monthly activity and impact reports
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop programs based on community needs.
  • Organize workshops and resident activities.
  • Support residents and connect them with resources.
  • Coordinate vendors and partners and ensure activities run smoothly.
  • Meet weekly with the supervisor to review goals and programs.
  • Required Qualifications:
  • 18+ and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Bachelor’s degree or related experience in event planning, social impact, human services, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer and English writing skills.
  • Availability for evening/weekend activities.
  • Current driver’s license, liability insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to carry up to 25 pounds and perform required physical activities.
  • Ability to commit to the required weekly hours and service term.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual Spanish skills.
  • Experience with at-risk populations or event planning.
  • Budget management and social media experience.
  • Network of volunteers, vendors, or community partners.
