Job Summary: The Associate Director of Individual Giving and Donor Engagement is a senior frontline fundraiser responsible for growing individual giving, sponsorship revenue, donor retention, and long-term philanthropic support.
Working in partnership with the Director of Resource Development, this position manages a portfolio of donors and prospects, conducts direct solicitations, leads donor cultivation and stewardship strategies, and advances Bridging the Gap fundraising. The Associate Director also provides functional leadership for individual giving and coordinates fundraising support from the Development Associate.
Reports directly to the Director of Resource Development who is responsible for overall strategy, team leadership, grants, family foundations, executive engagement, and department performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies for midlevel, major, planned, recurring, and multi-year giving.
- Manage a qualified portfolio of donors, sponsors, and prospective supporters.
- Personally cultivate, solicit, close, and steward philanthropic gifts.
- Develop individualized donor strategies, proposals, briefings, and follow-up plans.
- Identify opportunities to retain, renew, upgrade, and reengage donors.
- Maintain accurate donor activity, next steps, solicitation plans, and revenue projections in the CRM.
- Establish annual portfolio revenue, solicitation, retention, and donor engagement goals with the Director of Resource Development.
- Develop and maintain a qualified donor pipeline through events, referrals, giving history, and community relationships.
- Provide regular revenue forecasts, portfolio updates, and recommendations.
- Analyze donor retention, upgrades, average gift size, lapsed donors, and pipeline strength.
- Recommend donors for executive, board, family foundation, or higher-level engagement.
- Lead fundraising and donor engagement strategy for Bridging the Gap.
- Secure sponsor ships, table commitments, ticket purchases, and event-related gifts.
- Engage board members, Champion Hosts, executive leaders, and volunteers in donor introductions and solicitations.
- Develop follow-up strategies that convert event participation into ongoing philanthropic support.
- Lead donor tours, briefings, cultivation gatherings, and stewardship activities with clear relationship and revenue goals.
- Serve as a senior fundraising partner to the Director of Resource Development.
- Prepare executive leaders and board members for donor meetings and solicitations.
- Coordinate with the Development Associate on CRM reporting, donor research, event support, project timelines, and follow-up tracking.
- Collaborate with Communications, Finance, and program staff to develop accurate and compelling donor information.
- Represent Integral Care in donor, sponsor, and community settings.
- Maintain a limited portfolio of existing or highly qualified corporate sponsor relationships.
- Focus on warm referrals, current supporters, vendors, healthcare partners, and organizations connected to Integral Care.
- Prioritize individual donor cultivation over broad corporate prospecting.
Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

Education:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in fundraising, public affairs, marketing, or a related field required.
License:
Required:
- Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Experience:
- Seven years of progressively responsible fundraising experience.
- At least four years managing donor relationships, conducting solicitations, and achieving revenue goals.
- Demonstrated success securing six-figure gifts, sponsor ships, or multi-year commitments.
- Experience with individual giving, donor stewardship, moves management, revenue forecasting, and donor CRM systems. Specific CRM platform to be confirmed before posting.
- Experience working with executives, board members, volunteers, donors, and community leaders.
- Experience leading an individual giving program or major fundraising function preferred.
- Experience growing midlevel, major, planned, recurring, or event-related giving preferred.
