We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse Emergency Room to join our team 's North Austin Medical Center. This role coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency department environment.

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with departmental standards and state scope of practice. In collaboration with medical providers and other team members, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN serves as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers and models a commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and values.
- Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management.
- Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers and documents care in the patient medical record promptly.
- Responds promptly to patient requests, anticipating needs and resolving proactively.
- Teaches patients/families/caregivers about medical condition, status, treatment plan, medications and side effects, translating complex terminology for full understanding.
- Prepares patients and families/caregivers for future self‑management.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) instructor – obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) instructor – obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course – obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
- Advanced Trauma Care for Nurse or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) instructor – obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
- NIH Stroke Scale – obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
- Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
