Overview
This is a full-time Monday‑Friday 8:30 am‑5:00 pm position with no weekends, call, or major holidays. The role can be a Level 1, Level 2, or Senior based on candidate experience.
Texas Oncology is looking for a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at the South Austin location (4101 James Casey St #100, Austin, Texas 78745). Texas Oncology is the largest community oncology provider in the United States, with over 600 providers in 220+ sites across Texas and southeastern Oklahoma.

Long‑Term Incentive Plan (LTIP)The LTIP is an incentive program designed to attract, retain, and reward top talent. Awards vest over a three‑year period, are tied to performance and the operational success of Texas Oncology, and are governed by the LTIP document.
Responsibilities- Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote the continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
- Assess health status by interviewing patients and reviewing medical history.
- Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and instructional material.
- Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
- Facilitate clinical operations and patient care.
- Manage patient medication refill requests from the pharmacy telephone line and record the information in the patient chart.
- Facilitate and schedule consultations, pre‑testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals, and future appointments for patients.
- Triage patient phone calls as needed and document relevant information in the patient’s chart.
- Facilitate communication between patients/families and the interdisciplinary team and coordinate related services.
- Assist patients in locating available community resources.
- Engage in inter-professional collaboration.
- Act as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.
- Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education; BSN preferred.
- Hold an active RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
- Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 0–3 years of nursing experience, preferably at least one year in oncology.
In addition to Level 1 requirements, the candidate should have:
- 3–5 years of nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology.
In addition to Level 1 and Level 2 requirements, the candidate should have:
- Five years of nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology.

Physical RequirementsRequires full range of body motion, handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, eye‑hand coordination, standing and walking for extensive periods, occasional lifts up to 40 lbs, and corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
