NOW HIRING: FULL-TIME NURSE PRACTITIONER – PALLIATIVE CARE
Austin, Texas | 100% Inpatient | Acute Care Hospital

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our inpatient Palliative Care team in a leading acute care hospital in Austin, TX. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a collaborative, mission-driven team providing exceptional care to patients with serious or life-limiting illnesses.
Position Highlights- Full-time, 100% inpatient role in an acute care hospital
- Focus on symptom management, patient-centered care, and goals-of-care planning
- Work within a strong interdisciplinary team
- Meaningful and rewarding clinical environment
- Full-time schedule with rotating weekend coverage (every other weekend)
- Daily schedule is structured around patient care—providers may finish their day early once all assigned patients and documentation are completed
- Starting annual salary: $130,000+ (based on experience)

- Manage an average daily census of approximately 25–30+ patients in a fast-paced inpatient setting
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments
- Manage pain, nausea, dyspnea, and other complex symptoms
- Lead goals-of-care and end-of-life discussions
- Prescribe and manage medications
Ensure timely and accurate documentation - Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams
- Other duties as assigned
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (MSN or DNP)
- Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state of Texas (required)
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- 2+ years of NP experience (palliative or hospice experience strongly preferred)
- Palliative care certification or CME is a plus
- Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
- DEA certification preferred
