Position: Registered Nurse - Mother Baby / Postpartum
Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide specialized postpartum nursing care to new mothers and their babies during the 13-week contract period. The role involves supporting patient recovery, education, and ensuring high-quality clinical standards within a fast-paced obstetric unit.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive postpartum nursing care to patients and newborns, adhering to hospital protocols.
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage postpartum procedures such as magnesium and insulin drips.
• Educate new mothers on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn care practices.
• Document patient information accurately using Meditech and CPN EMR systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with at least 1 year of postpartum or antepartum experience.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Prior experience with obstetric procedures such as non-stress tests, hyperemesis management, and drug infusions preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills essential.
• Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) and adapt to rotating schedules.
