RN Pre-Op​/Intra​/PACU - Per Diem

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced per diem Registered Nurse (RN) for our Ambulatory Surgery Center in Austin, TX.

No Evenings, Weekends, Holidays, or On-call!

Our nurses play a critical role in taking care of our patients from pre‑operative, intraoperative, and post‑anesthesia care.

• Provide comfort and reassurance to patients and support their right to privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
• Confirm that proper techniques and procedures are used according to accepted standards of practice.
• Perform thorough pre‑operative patient assessment required in the outpatient setting.
• Perform safe and individualized nursing care for the patient in the immediate post‑operative/post‑anesthesia period.
• Perform thorough post‑operative patient assessment prior to discharge of the patient.
• Perform discharge education to patient and caretaker.
• Provide nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical condition and type of anesthesia administered.
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately and promptly in the electronic medical records system.
• Assist in managing inventory of supplies, drugs, and equipment to maintain availability and stock levels in the postoperative area.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission, values, and strategies of CPIhealth.

• 2 to 5 years of experience in perioperative nursing, including preoperative, circulator and PACU preferred but will train.
• Orthopedic experience preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the State of Texas.
• Detail‑oriented, reliable, and able to multi‑task in a fast‑paced, high‑volume work environment.
• Valid BLS certification.
• Valid ACLS or obtain within the first 90 days of employment.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, anesthesia, and perioperative nursing protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide compassionate care to patients and their families.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems and other medical software.
