Austin Oaks Hospital is an 80‑bed facility that offers a broad spectrum of psychiatric services for adults. It is located on a beautiful oak‑lined campus in South Austin, 10 minutes from downtown, and provides a home‑like environment that promotes crisis resolution, positive self‑awareness, social skills, and personal growth. Psychiatric treatment and substance abuse services are available through both inpatient and outpatient programs to fit your needs.
PositionSummary
The Intake Fax RN
- Days (Monday‑Friday 7a‑3p) is responsible for the timely processing of inquiry and referral calls. The RN serves as a liaison to referral sources, physicians, unit staff, and hospital personnel involved with each transfer request. The RN enters call data into the facility’s database and manages all e‑fax application(s) to process incoming referrals and transfer requests in a timely manner. The RN effectively communicates with unit staff, physicians, and Admissions Triage Staff and follows the hospital’s policies and procedures regarding referral management.

Requirements
EDUCATION:
Required:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION:
Current Texas Board of Nursing licensure as a Registered Nurse in good standing.
EXPERIENCE:
One‑year psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
