DescriptionAustin, TX – USA. Heart Hospital of Austin features 6 ORs and 1 EP lab in specialty adult 72 bed facility. Surgeons are exceptionally friendly & caring with great outcomes. Professional autonomy, including lines, within team model in an award-winning hospital; also close, collaborative working relationships and access to high acuity cases outside academics. Help will always be available.

Case AssignmentsOpen hearts, electrophysiology lab, endovascular, NORA, and general surgery. No OB, peds, or neuro. In 2022, there were 680 pump cases, 250 TAVRs, 65 mitral clips.
ShiftsPart-time 32 hours/week with flexible shifts. No call, weekends, holidays!

Responsibilities- Pre-anesthesia assessment
- Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
- Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
- Performance of clinical intervention as needed
- Current license as a registered professional nurse
- Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
- Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
