Travel RN - Neonatal ICU

American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN for a Level III Neonatal ICU position in Austin, TX, requiring at least 2 years of NICU experience and NRP Advanced certification.

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start)
• NRP Advanced 9th Edition certification (American Academy of Pediatrics) required
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required
• Level IV NICU experience preferred
• SSN (US only) and date of birth required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months

• Located in the NICU/Neonatal ICU Level III on the 3rd floor of an acute care hospital in Austin, TX
• 65-bed NICU unit with a staff of 200+
• Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 4:1 depending on acuity
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 4 weekend shifts per schedule required
• On-call required
• Equipment includes isolettes, ventilators, feeding pumps, IV pumps, breast pumps, and more
• EMR systems:
  Meditech and CPN
• Night shift team includes a charge nurse, team lead, transport nurse, RNs, respiratory therapists, and unit assistants
• Scrubs must be navy blue
• Unit policies and guidelines will be reviewed during on-unit orientation
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
• One professional reference required
