You Are

We are seeking a candidate with a strong positive attitude toward customer service to act as a Skilled Nursing Certified Medication Aide in Skilled Nursing. This person will have a genuine interest in geriatric care and be able to motivate while maintaining relationships with staff and residents. The right candidate will always strive to do the best job possible, to be creative and to work toward accomplishing facility goals.

Position

Summary

The Medication Aide administers medications as prescribed by the physician, documents the administration, the medication effectiveness, and any noted adverse reactions or side effects.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepares and administers medication as directed by the Charge Nurse and ordered by the Physician.
  • Assists residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), family/social activities and actively promotes independent lifestyle of residents.
  • Responds to residents call system promptly and courteously.
  • Provides daily report to the Director of Nurses and/or Charge Nurse concerning facility conditions, resident conditions, and needs for nursing supplies.
  • Consistently demonstrates hospitality behavior and the core values of quality, respect, service and integrity.
  • May be required to work shifts as C.N.A.
Qualifications
  • Certified Medication Aide with a current State of Texas license.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant with a current State of Texas license.
  • Must be able to read regulations and write clearly.
  • Must be able to communicate in courteous, friendly manner.
  • Ability to effectively manage and direct subordinates.
  • Physical requirements attached.
