Join St. David's North Austin Medical Center
, a part of HCA Healthcare, as a Registered Nurse in our Cardiac Cath Lab. You will provide nursing care for adult and geriatric patients with a variety of cardiovascular conditions, performing assessments, medication administration, procedure support, and documentation before, during, and after cardiac catheterization.

Responsibilities
  • Complete and document a patient assessment upon admission.
  • Reassess and document changes in patient condition.
  • Administer medications and monitor and document responses.
  • Monitor the patient’s overall status pre, during, and post procedure.
  • Communicate any patient changes to the physician.
  • Manage patients with potentially life‑threatening dysrhythmia or hemodynamic changes via physician order using medications and emergency equipment.
  • Explain procedures to patients and assess their understanding.
Qualifications
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum 2 years of critical care experience as an RN.
  • Cath Lab or cardiac nursing experience preferred.
