Job Summary:
SEASONAL - CONTRACT - RN - LABOR AND DELIVERY (708) - 13 WEEKS - 7:00A-7:00P provides skilled nursing care for laboring patients, supporting safe delivery and neonatal readiness. This role requires strong fetal monitoring competency and advanced life support skills to manage high-acuity labor scenarios with confidence.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor maternal and fetal status using electronic fetal monitoring and intermediate fetal monitoring techniques.
- Assess labor progress and perform cervical exams (SVE) while supporting evidence-based labor management.
- Prepare and support for delivery procedures including SVD, C-sections, cerclages, and TOLAC.
- Maintain clinical readiness by ensuring equipment and documentation are accurate in the EMR (Meditech).
- Coordinate care with the healthcare team to support safe, timely transitions during labor, delivery, and postpartum needs.
- Apply BLS, ACLS, and NRP protocols as clinically indicated to support patient safety.
- Hold an active RN license.
- Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certification.
- Demonstrate EFM competency and intermediate fetal monitoring proficiency.
- Show SVE competency and ability to support C-section circulation.
- Possess 2+ years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery.
- Deliver strong team performance with positive attitude and reliable attendance.
- Expand high-volume Labor and Delivery expertise with exposure to a wide range of delivery scenarios.
- Strengthen clinical decision-making and workflow fluency in fast-paced L&D environments.
- Build durable professional references through a structured 13-week contract experience.
