Admissions Registered Nurse (RN) – Day Shift

• Responds to incoming calls for referrals and admissions coordination.
• Assesses patients’ psychiatric and medical status, documenting all inquiries and referrals accurately in the medical record.
• Ensures nursing and clinical staff are updated on the patient’s condition and medical history.
• Distributes referral paperwork and prepares unit charts as required.
• Assesses, directs, and intervenes in crisis situations.
• Provides leadership and direction to mental health technicians.
• Contributes to the treatment plan as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
• Administers medication and medical treatment as prescribed by a physician.

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing (or a compact state).
• One year of psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
• CPR and hospital de‑escalation certifications (obtained during orientation).
• Must complete new‑hire requirements including nationwide background check and pre‑employment drug screen.
• State and federal Office of the Inspector General check.

• Mon–Fri 7am–3pm – Shift 1: $10.00;
  Shift 4: $4.00
• Mon–Fri 3pm–11pm – Shift 2: $2.25;
  Shift 5: $6.00
• Mon–Fri 11pm–7am – Shift 3: $4.00;
  Shift 6: $6.50
• Sat & Sun 7am–3pm – Shift 4: $4.00
• Sat & Sun 3pm–11pm – Shift 5: $6.00
• Sat & Sun 11pm–7am – Shift 6: $6.50
