Lincoln Healthcare is partnering with a premier recovery center in the Texas Hill Country to identify an experienced and compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support nursing leadership during an exciting phase of growth.

This is a unique opportunity to work alongside an established leadership team, help shape clinical operations, and make a meaningful impact in a mission-driven, long-term recovery environment.

Position Overview

The ADON will partner closely with the Director of Nursing to support daily nursing operations, develop and mentor clinical staff, and help ensure excellence in both medical and behavioral health care. This role plays a key part in maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for clients navigating recovery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support oversight of nursing operations, ensuring high-quality, compliant patient care
  • Assist in supervision, coaching, and development of nursing staff
  • Help implement and maintain policies and procedures for safe withdrawal management
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
  • Participate in quality improvement and infection control initiatives
  • Contribute to staffing coordination and day-to-day department operations
Clinical Expectations
  • Conduct and support nursing assessments, including withdrawal acuity and mental health evaluations
  • Administer medications (oral, IM, IV), IV fluids, and perform clinical interventions as needed
  • Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to regulatory standards
  • Promote a culture of patient safety, professionalism, and holistic care
Qualifications
  • Active, unrestricted Texas RN license
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Background in behavioral health, detox, or psychiatric nursing preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment with the ability to lead in a fast-paced environment
