Registered Nurse – NICU (Level
2)

Austin, Texas

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care in a Level 2 NICU with a patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:3, with occasional 1:1 care for high-acuity patients awaiting transport
• Perform full admissions of new NICU patients, including IV starts and lab draws
• Assist NNP with complex procedures including surfactant administration, UVC placement, lumbar puncture, needle aspiration of pneumothorax, and circumcision
• Manage and monitor respiratory support equipment including SiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, and LFNC
• Operate and manage feeding pumps and IV support including UVC and PIV lines
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of NICU experience
• Proficiency with NICU-specific respiratory support equipment (SiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, LFNC)
• Experience with IV starts, lab draws, and UVC/PIV management
• Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

• Labor and delivery experience
• Prior experience with Meditech EMR
• Experience assisting with complex neonatal procedures

• Work within a collaborative, experienced NICU team in a unit equipped with modern respiratory and IV support technology
