Texas Oncology is looking for a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team! This position will support our South Austin location. This is a full‑time Monday‑Friday position (8:30 AM–5:00 PM) with no weekends, call or major holidays.

What is the Long‑Term Incentive Plan (LTIP)?The LTIP typically vests over a three‑year period and is tied to both individual performance and the operational success of Texas Oncology. Awards are discretionary, based on position, performance, and potential for future career growth, and are reviewed and approved during the annual compensation review. LTIP awards require continued employment through the award payment date.
What does the Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) do?Under general supervision, the RN provides professional nursing care for patients in adherence to national and company standards and guidelines. The RN must recognize the physical, psychological, and spiritual aspects of care, and participate in company‑wide quality initiatives. The RN supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Responsibilities- Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote the continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
- Assess health status by interviewing the patient regarding current status and medical history.
- Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and other instructional material.
- Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
- Facilitate clinical operations and patient care.
- Manage patient medication refill requests from the pharmacy telephone line and record the information in the patient chart.
- Facilitate and schedule consultations, pre‑testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals, and future appointments for patients.
- Triage patient phone calls as needed and document relevant information in the patient’s chart.
- As necessary, facilitate communication between the patient/family and interdisciplinary team and coordinate services related to patient care.
- Assist patients in locating available community resources.
- Engage in interprofessional collaboration.
- Act as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.
- Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education; BSN preferred.
- RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Maintain continuing education requirements.
- Entry level – 0–3 years nursing experience; oncology experience strongly preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years of nursing experience; oncology experience strongly preferred.
- In addition to Levels I and II:
- Minimum five (5) years nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology strongly preferred.
- Oncology certification preferred.

Physical RequirementsThe essential physical demands include full range of body motion, handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, eye‑hand coordination, and standing and walking for extensive periods. Occasionally lifts and carries items up to 40 lb. Requires normal range of corrected vision and hearing.
