Job Summary

The Transplant and Cellular Therapy (TCT) Clinic ’s South Austin Medical Center treats adults facing blood cancer and hematologic disorders in the Central Texas region in the outpatient setting. In partnership with Sarah Cannon, the Cancer Institute of HCA Healthcare, we are proud to be the only FACT accredited facility in Austin, Texas.

Responsibilities
  • Consider age‑related factors in the assessment, care, and treatment of the oncology patient.
  • Consider principles of death and dying when caring for terminally ill oncology patients.
  • Provide emotional, spiritual, religious, and cultural support to patients and their significant others.
  • Apply principles of oncology nursing.
Qualifications

Experience

  • 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Education
  • Associate’s degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License (Texas license must be obtained within 90 days of hire).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David’s Healthcare policy.
  • Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Provider – preferred.
  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification – preferred.
