Overview

Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) – full‑time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. No weekend or major holiday work, no on‑call. Position levels vary from Level 1 to Level 2 to Senior based on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
    • Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and instructional material.
  • Prepare and administer therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician.
    • Administer all medications and blood products using the correct dosage, route, time, and technique.
    • Ensure pre‑authorization and appropriate consent forms are obtained prior to therapy administration.
    • Facilitate dose modification by assessing patient status, labs, consulting protocol or treatment plan, calculating dose, and consulting physician on dosage changes, problems and symptom management.
    • Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central line catheter devices.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of assigned patient care and treatments provided.
    • Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture.
Qualifications Level 1
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
  • Registered RN license in the state of practice.
  • 0–3 years nursing experience, preferably at least one year in oncology.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Level 2 (additional to Level 1 requirements)
  • 3–5 years nursing experience.
  • Oncology certification preferred.
Level Sr (in addition to Level 1 and 2 requirements)
  • Five years nursing experience.
Working Conditions

The work environment may involve exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and medical preparations common to an oncology/hematology clinic.

Physical Requirements

Full range of body motion is required, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye‑hand coordination. Standing and walking for extended periods, occasionally lifting and carrying items up to 40 lbs, and maintaining normal corrected vision and hearing are required.
