- Deliver and assist residents with daily needs, including personal care, preparation for activities and social programs, and routine activities in accordance with accepted standards of practice and regulatory requirements. Provide basic nursing care under the direction of a licensed nurse supervisor.
- Assist with activities of daily living: serving meals, feeding residents as necessary, ambulating, turning, and positioning residents.
- Assist with lifting, positioning and transporting residents safely, and help with preparation for and transportation to appointments and activities as needed.
- Participate in meal service: serving, clearing, cleaning dining areas, ensuring proper seating and utensil availability; assist with feeding when indicated; deliver snacks and supplements; provide hydration per center policy.
- Know proper procedures to provide personal care services and respond to resident requests for care.
- Prepare equipment and aid nurses during treatments and examinations.
- Check residents regularly, respond to call lights, and communicate needs to supervisor as appropriate.
- Monitor resident stability by checking vital signs and weight; record intake and output information.
- Support resident comfort by transporting residents and responding to requests; report observations to the nursing supervisor.
- Document actions by completing forms, reports, and records.
- Protect residents’ information and maintain confidentiality in accordance with policy.
- Adhere to professional standards, company policies, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Review care plans to determine changes in residents’ care routines; participate in shift handoffs and nursing reports.
- Make beds, change linens, and maintain linens to prevent wrinkles; handle linens per infection control guidelines.
- Keep residents dry and comfortable; assist with bowel and bladder functions as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of resident units, bathing areas, treatment rooms, workrooms and storage areas; sanitize equipment and restore spaces after use.
- Provide post-mortem care as instructed.
- Other duties as assigned with or without notice.
- Must have valid certification in good standing
- High School graduate preferred
