Role Overview
Join a dedicated OB/GYN Emergency Department team as a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, providing care for patients from 16 weeks gestation to 6 weeks postpartum.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and prioritize patients based on acuity to optimize unit capacity.
- Collaborate with physicians, residents, and obstetric care teams to deliver comprehensive emergency care.
- Perform specialized diagnostic imaging, including ultrasound, with training from Maternal Fetal Medicine.
- Mentor and educate interns and residents in obstetric triage and care pathways.
- Support occasional postpartum rounding and coordinate patient discharges and admissions.
- Master's Degree in Nursing.
- Texas Board of Nursing licensure as NP and RN.
- BLS certification preferred; DEA credentialing is advantageous.
- Strong collaboration, diagnostic, and teaching abilities.
