Registered Nurses coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage."

The RN serves as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, modeling a commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes.

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management and reassesses after intervention.
• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s).
• Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Responds promptly to patient requests and strives to anticipate and resolve needs proactively.
• Teaches patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and possible side effects, translating complex terminology for full understanding.
• Educates on non-medical follow-up measures, including healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes, preparing patients for self-management.

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Clinical (ENPC) certification obtained within 18 months of employment start date.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification obtained within 18 months of employment start date.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license, active.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher.
