Travel RN - Neonatal ICU

Overview

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level 4 NICU position in Austin, TX, requiring a minimum of 2 years of NICU experience and a TX or Compact RN license.

• Active TX or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), and NRP (AHA/AAP)
• Must possess a valid US Social Security Number and a US home address
• Driver s License required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration

• High-acuity, fast-paced Level 4 NICU setting within a children s medical center
• Patient population includes neonates through 1 year old (occasionally older) with complex conditions such as HIE/Therapeutic Hypothermia, VLBW/ELBW prematurity, Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, cardiac defects, surgical neonates, Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia, arrhythmias, congenital birth defects, and renal failure
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 for ICU-status patients, 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU patients
• Night shift: 18:45–07:15
• 13-week contract
• Provide direct bedside care to critically ill neonates and infants in a Level 4 NICU environment
• Local candidates are accepted; however, candidates residing within the facility s radius may be subject to a reduced local pay rate
• COVID vaccination is not required for this position
