Role Description The Plastic Surgery Nurse is a full-time, on-site role based in Austin, TX, providing direct nursing care to plastic surgery patients before, during, and after procedures. Day-to-day responsibilities include patient assessment, education, and preparation for surgery; assisting physicians in-office procedures; and monitoring recovery while ensuring comfort and safety. The nurse coordinates pre- and post-operative care plans, manages medications and documentation, and supports infection control and quality assurance standards.

This role collaborates closely with surgeons, physician assistants, estheticians, and other clinical staff to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care and to maintain a positive, professional environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in Plastic Surgery Nursing and patient care in a plastic or cosmetic surgery setting.
• Knowledge of Plastic Surgery procedures and related clinical protocols.
• Strong Nursing skills, including patient assessment, education, and postoperative follow-up.
• Experience working in an Operating Room environment, including assisting during Surgery.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
• BLS and ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain within a defined timeframe).
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
• Ability to handle confidential information, maintain accurate documentation, and follow safety and compliance standards.
• Previous experience in outpatient surgery, dermatology, or aesthetic medicine is beneficial.
