Contract RN - Med Surg 3E
This is a 13-week contract position.
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 4 shifts per month on weekends required.
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our Med Surg 3E unit. This unit features 28 beds and offers a collaborative environment for patient care with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 to 6:1. The RN will be responsible for delivering efficient and effective patient care, monitoring vital signs, administering medication, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to meet patient needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care in accordance with patient care plans.
- Conduct patient assessments and monitor health status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members on patient progress and care plans.
- Document patient care and progress in the electronic medical record (Meditech).
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Must possess a valid RN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred.
- 3 years or more of nursing experience, particularly in Epilepsy care is preferred.
