We're hiring an RN On-Call – a compassionate and skilled nurse who will provide after-hours support, ensuring timely assessments and continuity of care for hospice patients and families. This role is essential to delivering dignified, responsive care during critical moments.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Perform comprehensive nursing evaluations and after-hours assessments for patients with changes in condition
  • Assess for signs and symptoms of discomfort, including pain, and take prompt, appropriate action
  • Initiate and update plans of care as needed; provide nursing follow-up and caregiver instruction
  • Submit accurate documentation within 24 hours of visits
  • Coordinate services across settings to ensure quality and appropriateness of care
  • Follow approved care plans, modify as needed, and communicate with physicians when appropriate

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with a valid state license
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
  • Hospice experience preferred, but not required
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Must clear a criminal background check, physical, and drug screening
  • Flexibility to work outside regular hours based on business needs
  • Must be comfortable working in environments with animals and pets.

Schedule:

Full Time (on-call), Monday - Thursday, 5:00pm - 8:00am

Anticipated pay range

$85,000 - $95,000 USD
